Collies as a breed, the dogs
we rescue and our adoption
process on this website, and would encourage you
to look through the site for the information you require
before contacting us.

If you have requested an application, one will
be forwarded to you via email (unless you have specifically
requested a hard copy).
IMPORTANT:
many spam filters these days will not recognize
email from people not currently in your address
book. Please add "applications@nebcr.org" to your
address book to ensure that you receive our messages.
If you are checking on the status of your completed
application, please note that we are an all-volunteer
organization, and doing our best to keep up with
the sometimes dozens of applications we receive
each week. Applications review can take a week or
so, so please be patient. If you do not hear from
us after that time, please check with us to make
sure that we received your application - as email
is not always reliable.

Please note that this number is NOT staffed
24/7 but messages are checked regularly by NEBCR
volunteers, and someone will return you call
as soon as humanly possible.

(see above) OR TO INQUIRE ABOUT A DOG ON
OUR WEBSITE.
Once a dog is available for adoption, contact
information will be posted for that dog. WE
WILL NOT GIVE OUT INFORMATION ON DOGS NOT YET
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, as these dogs are
still under evaluation.
While NEBCR volunteers share all information
within the group pertaining to applications
and home visits, ONLY the contact person listed
for a particular dog can give you information
on that dog, as he/she has the most current
information and will be the person directly
involved in making the placement decision for
that dog.

Privacy Policy
POTENTIAL ADOPTERS:
While we do occasionally receive requests from other
rescue groups to share home visit reports (and will
do so ONLY with the applicant's permission), we feel
that it is the responsibility of each individual rescue
group to properly screen their own adopters according
to their specific policies and operating procedures.
Any application submitted to NEBCR is kept private
to the group, and your information will not be shared
elsewhere.
RELINQUISHING OWNERS:
It is not our policy to provide you with specific
information on whomever fosters or adopts your dog.
You will be required to sign a relinquishment agreement
in which you give up the rights of ownership of your
dog to the care of NEBCR, Inc. You will not have input
as to who fosters or adopts your dog in the future,
and you must trust that we will make all decisions
in your dog's best interests, and based on our many
years of experience in rescue and with Border Collies
as a breed. We can provide you with general updates
on your dog's well-being only. IF an adopter wishes
to be in contact with you, we can pass along your
information to them, but it will be their decision.
ADOPTERS: We will
not give out your personal or contact information
to the previous owner of the dog you have adopted
without your permission.
ALL WEB VIEWERS:
NEBCR will NEVER sell or distribute the personal information
submitted via our adoption application, foster home
application, volunteer application or through our
online store, to ANY third party. Such information
will be retained solely for the use of New England
Border Collie Rescue, Inc. (NEBCR)
