Cal is an adorable little nugget of 100% BC spunk. Born 6/10/25 he entered rescue without batting an eye and jumped right into the fun his foster home had to offer.

Cal is always happy to greet human visitors, is appropriate with the very few adult dogs he has met, has seen cats but has really not interacted with them, and is learning more about his world and how to bravely navigate it as a polite little Border Collie every day. Cal is a 10ish pound sponge and we are looking for an adopter that will explore whatever training interests he grows to have and help this blank slate reach his full potential. Cal has proven he’s got a smart little brain in his head and loves using it, which also means he will likely be that typical border collie that needs to be told what his job is before he comes up with one on his own.

Cal is up to date on age appropriate vet care. He was identified as having a heart murmur at a vet appointment that he may or may not outgrow. We will continue to recheck this at his vet appointments with us until he is adopted.

Cal will be adopted out with a neuter contract and additional neuter deposit, which will be returned to his adopter once his neuter has been completed at an appropriate age.

Cal will also be adopted out with a training contract and additional training deposit, which will be returned to his adopter once proof of training has been received.

A fence requirement will be considered on a case by case basis to ensure Cal’s safety.

We know that Cal will generate a lot of interest, and we wish we had puppies for all the wonderful homes who come across him. Please bear with us while we determine his best fit, and understand that we know he will break a lot of hearts.
