Cricket

Meet Cricket, a handsome, goofy, 1-year-old registered Border Collie with long legs, a big personality, and plenty of puppy enthusiasm! At 50 pounds, this tall and lanky boy is still growing into his frame, and he has all the charm and energy you would expect from a young Border Collie.

Cricket is a happy, playful boy who loves toys, romping around with other dogs, and spending time with his people. He especially enjoys playing with younger, energetic dogs who can keep up with him. Despite his size and enthusiasm, he is surprisingly gentle with smaller dogs and adjusts his play style accordingly. Older, quieter dogs may find his puppy energy a bit overwhelming, so a playful canine companion would be his best match. As with any new friendship, proper introductions are important.

This clever boy is eager to learn and would thrive with a family that enjoys training and engaging activities. Cricket loves long walks, hikes, and opportunities to burn off that young Border Collie energy. And while he certainly enjoys staying busy, he also knows how to relax. After enough exercise and playtime, Cricket is happy to settle down beside his people for some well-earned cuddle time.

Cricket is housetrained and crate trained, and he sleeps comfortably in a large crate at night. He has done very well with children ages 12 and older and is also good with cats. He even has his own funny way of communicating: when he wants something, he may flip his food bowl to get your attention!

Cricket is looking for an active home that will continue his training, provide plenty of physical and mental stimulation, and appreciate all the fun that comes with raising a young Border Collie. A securely fenced yard is required.

If you’re looking for an enthusiastic adventure buddy who will make you laugh with his silly antics, join you on hikes, and then happily curl up beside you at the end of the day, Cricket might just be your perfect match!
