About Fawkes
Fawkes has come a long way in her time in foster care. Before coming to NEBCR she spent over a year shut in a covered crate which caused her to develop some very compulsive behaviors. Since coming into rescue she has learned to relax and to really connect with people.
Fawkes likes to have a schedule so that she knows what to expect and at what time, on a daily basis. Once she knows she can trust you, she is a total lap dog! Her only flaw is that she can be a bit compulsive when stressed, so she spins in a circle. Fawkes is never aggressive or reactive, but does need an experienced herding dog home.
She is a tiny girl, about 25lbs and has the cutest curly tail. She would prefer a more sedentary life so that she can simply enjoy her people and her new home.
Fawkes is deaf. This is not a ‘handicap’, because she picks up hand signals faster than many hearing dogs learn a verbal cue. The only down side is that she sleeps very soundly through the night! Also because she cannot hear you when you call her, she MUST have a secure, hard-fenced yard (no invisible fences).
Fawkes is young, smart and absolutely adorable. She would love a home to call her own.
