About Kaylee

Are you ready world?

Kaylee is the coming attraction at NEBCR.

Kaylee is looking for the perfect home to fill someone’s heart.

At eight she makes a great companion dog that settles well in the house. Don’t let her age fool you she is very active and agile. Kaylee loves being engaged with her person whether it be exploring new places on a hike or swimming which she seems to have no limit.

Pros:

  • Sweet girl
  • Plays well in a group of dogs (does tend to herd though)
  • Loves to learn new tricks
  • Loves her people
  • Loves to go for rides
  • Excellent at the vets
  • Easy going temperament
  • Active but settles well in the house
  • Crate trained
  • House trained
  • Doesn’t get on the furniture
  • Treat motivated
  • LOVES the outdoors
  • LOVES to swim
  • Confident

Cons:

  • Counter surfer
  • Needs to learn to walk politely on leash (does well with no pull harness)
  • Whines while riding and does best in a crate (quiets down on the highway)
  • Not a fan of small children
  • Scared of gunshots/thunder
  • Still needs to loose weight (down 7lbs so far)
  • Suggest at least 2 professional groomings a year with bi-monthly brush outs.
  • Will shred plush toys
  • Not really comfortable with other dogs in the house (Growls often, occasional air snap)
  • Would do best as an only dog
  • Can be a bit of a woofer when she hears strange noises but short lived

Kaylee is a lovely dog full of personality. She has a good understanding of everyday situations/commands. Far from the untrained youngsters with Kaylee you will know what to expect. Kaylee is quick to give either paw and very gentle at taking treats. She does know a few tricks and has been playing with some of my agility equipment. She truly does love training (treats involved).

Kaylees perfect home would have either someone that works from home or retired, no children under 10, cat free. Kaylee loves to be active so will need an active family that loves the outdoors. Kaylee would absolutely love playdates to do zoomies with. She would love to have access to water frequently, what can I say the girl loves to swim.

A fenced yard is preferred but will consider placement in a rural area with home well off the road. I haven’t mentioned this before but I would be willing to bet she would excel at nose work. She has quite the sniffer and it would make a fun sport to keep you both engaged as a team.

If you fit Kaylee’s description of the life that would make her happy please inquire.
