About Otto

Are you looking for an older puppy/young adult?

Otto may be your man.

Otto is an 11 month old boy who is sweet and silly and everything you’d expect from an almost-one-year-old pup.

Otto was originally adopted from a farm by a young family with an infant son. They soon discovered that having a young working dog and a 10 month old two-legged was more than they expected. So for his sake, they decided to relinquish him so he could get the care and family he needs and deserves.

Otto looks like a leggy smooth coat border collie. But, in fact, his momma is a great pyrenees and his dad is a border collie. Not only does he have the appearance of a border collie, but he is very smart and likes to learn.

He is very food driven and also loves toys. As a youngster, he gets excited, but is able to be redirected. He is still learning control.

He is UTD on his vaccinations.

In the past, he was nervous around new people and things. Now he is still a bit cautious on first contact, but he warms up quickly.

His first family had cats and he got along with them. According to the family, if the cats run, he will chase. He may bark at them, too. But if they are not running away, he does not have a reaction to them. His current foster home does not have cats, so we are not sure if this is still the case.

If you are looking for a young dog to train and love, Otto may be your man!
