Maeby is a pure bred Border Collie. A friend rescued Maeby and two of her siblings from a hoarding situation in another state.

The friend was overwhelmed and asked us to foster one puppy.

She was in a crate full time for the first 5 months of her life. She never went outside and as a result was not socialized or trained. We have been training her and she is learning but still has accidents. She is now 8 months old.

When we first picked her up, we gave her a piece of bacon and she was very happy with us. Normally it does take her time to warm up to new people and new places, but she improves a lot with subsequent exposures. We have taken her for sheep herding lessons which she has loved and has learned to catch a Frisbee out of the air.

She’s sweet, high energy and athletic. She loves car rides and looking out the window. She loves our dog and tries to play for most of the day. She’s still working on potty training and in a way is developmentally younger seeming because of her history. She was recently spayed on March 5th and is up to date on shots/meds and microchipped but not registered.
