Poppy Lou is a 3 y.o. female Border Collie.

Poppy has lived with her current (and only) family for 3 years and was brought home at 8 weeks old. She has not adjusted well to living with a toddler during the past year and it is believed she will do best long term in a home with only adults as she has a general uneasiness around children.

She would do best with an experienced BC owner who could guide her through some of the fearful tendencies she has.

Ideally a calm household, with a confident older dog (or solo), and an active/stimulating lifestyle. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, has completed a basic obedience course, and is AKC registered. Poppy is also fully house housebroken and does extremely well in a crate. She is very eager to please, learn, and listen to commands.

Poppy loves the people she knows but is not overly affectionate and not much of a “cuddler”. She is hesitant toward strangers and needs slow introduction but will eventually warm up after initial meeting.

Poppy’s future home placement is very important to her family and all factors will be considered such as yard conditions, family members, other pets, and lifestyle. Located south of Buffalo, NY.
